and gram positive bacteriabesides bacteria, fungi, yeast and mold. Its negligible solubility
in water makes it preferredbiocide in soft fouling marine paint applications segment.

Application & Dosage
KOPTHIONE ZN can be used as Zinc Pyrithione powder is a highly effective antifouling – agent
for the control of soft fouling marine organisms such as seaweed, bacterial and diatom
slimes. It can be used in antifouling coatings to be applied on the underwater part of ship
and boat hulls or static marine structures. Generally, it is used in combination with Cuprous
oxide or Copper Thiocynanate as a booster biocide.
